Looking at these Aadhaar enrollment stats, it is very evident that this Unique ID project isn’t going at a pace which the Government would have hoped for. Since this a new project for every one, a first of its kind in India, there are bound to be some issues here and there. One such error which we are already hearing is the printing mistake that can happen while printing the Aadhaar cards. The mistakes can be a typo in the Name, date of birth, address or any other information present on the card.

While it is not yet possible to get the mistake corrected right away, a system is currently under development where Aadhaar card holder can search for their personal information stored in the UID Database using their card number. If the information you see online (that is in the UID Database) is correct, you can be sure that it is indeed a printing mistake. If not, you will have to approach the concerned authorities with fresh ID proof to get it corrected.
Either way, a procedure will also be laid down in future giving instructions to the holders on how to get the information, either on the card or in the UID Database, corrected.

Recently i have received my aadhar card but in that instead of W/O …… it is wrongly printed as D/O …. So,Pls help me in this regard & tell me the procedure to get it changed.
