Hi all, pls visit aadhaarnumber.org for centers and for required documents.
Basically they just ask for photo and address proof.
I enrolled for uid in central bank of india in velachery gandhi rd.
Get the enrollment form from center,fill it and attach photocopies of documents.
Token system was followed in this center.wait for your turn to get the rest of the process to be complte(your photo is taken,finger prints and eye retina prints are captured).an acknowledgement form is given to you.thats it.

I don’t understand why it is so difficult to find the list of centers in chennai. Have been searching online for the past half an hour………. No clear list anywhere. Well.. expected as it is a Govt initiative……. can always trust the guys to throw up some smart googlies.. It was never this difficult finding info on anything else……. clever design i guess… Isn’t this project headed by guys who made software for clients at infy and other places??? well maybe this is how they work……. I think i can already see the future of this exercise…
when you search for aadhaar you get the uidai.gov.in website (this site looks quite official with the national emblem and all and is pretty well designed too visually) which tells u that u have to go to the aadhar enrolment center… It gives links (twice) to the list of PoI required but not to where the enrolment centers are…….. good move………
or you have this site (http://uidcards.org) which is too cluttered… is this an official website or a commercial one? this one gives the list of 3 centers in tamilnadu of which one is in chennai (thank god). But good chennai residents have discovered uncharted centres in IOB branches etc. (thank u). There is a link on the word ‘TamilNadu’ which will take you straight to the tamil matrimony page. All those who want to get married before getting an aadhar card can make use of this feature.
The future for the card is really bright.

I would be very happy if all the corporation offices are allowed to enroll for aadhar cards.

I serached through the uid website for the tamilnadu aadhaar enrolment centre, but no option is there for tamil nadu state all other states are available. why it is like that, tamil nadu state is not in India?. Please explain. From where we will get this information.
